CS4 and CS5 Transform features are cool, and these advanced options save time and effort. At times though that personal touch is really important and automation doesn’t offer the customisation you need. This is apparent when applying the Edit>Transform tools to projects. Most notably is the application of the Warp tool, which becomes essential when mocking up product and label shots in self-initiated projects and concepts for commercial clients. This tool means you can adjust edges with handles, as well as mesh segments, and areas within the mesh to match up orientation. Experimentation is key and comparisons are more visible when selecting View>Extras, to show or hide the warp mesh and control points while tweaking.
