Singer Paloma Faith has just launched a new art collaboration with Talenthouse to invite photographers and artists from around the world to design their own version of her third new album, ‘A Perfect Contradiction,’ which has just been certified platinum in the UK. Entrants will need to use Paloma’s album artwork, music, and general persona for inspiration, with an aim to see the finished piece being turned into a poster.
Creatives from Talenthouse’s online creative community – which is free to join for anyone interested in art, film, fashion, music and photography – have until October 2014 to enter at http://smarturl.it/PalomaArt. Then, Paloma and a team of judges, including celebrated British portrait and fashion photographer Rankin as well as representatives from Liberty department store, will judge the collaboration.
Maya Bogle, co-founder of Talenthouse said: “We’re thrilled to be working with Paloma. This is an exceptional opportunity for creatives everywhere to collaborate with one of the most talented recording artists around. This partnership perfectly illustrates the nature of Talenthouse; to unlock everyone’s creative potential, provide once-in-a-lifetime career-boosting opportunities and have their work showcased around the world.”
The winner stands to receive a multitude of prises, such as £800, a meeting with a Sony Music Creative and tickets to Paloma’s 2015 tour with a meet and greet. The winning artwork will also be turned into Paloma Faith’s limited edition poster for ‘A Perfect Contradiction’, feature on Paloma’s social skins for a one week takeover, feature on Hunger TV, and be produced into a piece of merchandise.
