Tip week! Add Focal blur

Give the subject of a photo additional emphasis by add a focal blur to the surrounding area.

Begin by creating a selection of the subject area. Save that selection through Select>Save Selection. Then go to Filter>Blur>Lens Blur.

In the Depth Map area set the Source to the saved selection and check the Invert box to apply the blur to everything outside that selected area.
